A Lenten Journey into Contemplative Prayer Practices Each week of Lent, all interested adults are invited to learn about and participate in the Contemplative Prayer practices of Centering Prayer and Lectio Divina which together help to facilitate and deepen our relationship with God. We will also be reflecting on the book Manifesting God by Thomas Keating who teaches us that the more we practice contemplative prayer, the more we are able to experience the Indwelling Presence in everything we do. Contemplative practices give us the eyes to see and the ears to hear God calling us to the banquet that is our lives, as they are. *In advance, you will need to purchase a copy of Manifesting God by Thomas Keating. In preparation for our first session, read from Manifesting God the Forward and Chapter one, and then skim over Appendix I and II.* Chris Hanly and/or Mary Frazier will be facilitating each session beginning on Ash Wednesday, 1:00pm to 3:00pm and the following Tuesday mornings, starting March 8th thru April 19th, 9:30 to 11am. All sessions will be held in the RE Building, upstairs, in room number 208. A sign-up sheet is located at the back of Church. For more info. Chris Hanly at 830-237-2172.
