Do You Know Where Ashes Come From? The Ashes used on Ash Wednesday are from the burning of previous years Palm Sunday palms. This year we will be collecting all of those dried blessed palms you have sitting around your home to burn them at a Mardi Gras burning of blessed palms into ashes which will take place on Tuesday Feb. 21st, 6pm. There will be collection boxes at the doors of the church for you to put your palms.
