Pray the Word of The Living God by the Catherine of Siena Institute Many mystics have described Lent as a time to enter the spiritual desert, in preparation of Easter. This Lent we would like to invite all interested adults to join us for a Lenten Prayer opportunity called Pray the Word of The Living God by the Catherine of Siena Institute. The format is inspired by St. Vincent de Paul and includes prayer before the Blessed Sacrament, readings from Sunday’s Scripture and the CCC, and reflections on quotes from encyclicals by Pope Benedict XVI and Pope Francis. You will not need to purchase anything for this retreat. Just sign up and show up! We will supply the prayer materials for you to use during the week and prayerful sharing once a week at each meeting. Either Chris Hanly, Mary Frazier, and Betty Grahmann will be facilitating each session. Beginning on Monday, February 20th thru April 3rd, 11am to 12pm. All sessions will be held in the RE Building, upstairs, in room number 209. We need to prepare materials, so be sure to sign-up at the back of Church. For more information or to sign-up contact Chris Hanly at 830-237-2172. To paraphrase Pope Benedict XVI, “May this Lent bring you into a renewed encounter with Jesus and the hope that can transform your life from the inside out!”
